The Unity Hall was first established in 1875. The Hotel was the meeting place for the Sydney Scottish Rifles and council election meetings...... among others

Florence Hardman was the Hotel licensee for 25 years.
Her grandson, William Hardman is the current licensee.

The name of the Hotel came from the first labor party meeting.
A plaque on the external wall of the Hotel commemorates
the occasion and was erected by Gough Whitlam.
